1. How Deca Works (Pharmacology)

Nandrolone is unique because of its high anabolic-to-androgenic ratio.

• Anabolic (Muscle Building): It is highly effective at promoting nitrogen retention and protein synthesis.

• Androgenic (Masculinizing): It has lower androgenic activity compared to testosterone. This is because, unlike testosterone which converts to the more potent DHT, nandrolone converts to dihydronandrolone (DHN), a much weaker androgen.

• The “Decanoate” Ester: The “decanoate” part is an ester attached to the nandrolone molecule. This doesn’t change what the drug does, but it dictates how slowly it is released into the bloodstream. It is a “slow-acting” steroid, typically requiring injections only once every 1–4 weeks in a medical setting
